Additional Comments:

This event turned out to be the first of its kind. With strong efforts by Carla Olson-Outreach Coordinator for the Paradise Valley REI, there were close to 20 vendors on site at the Inaugural REI Adventure Race Expo.

ASM had a central spot at the event, which drew quite a crowd on a Friday evening. Sierra Adventures hosted a series of mini-adventure races to promote the sport of adventure racing to all ages. Team Monster Energy, who had an impressive season, shared their secrets in an "Adventure Racing 101" clinic. Of course, ASM had plenty of raffle items from their generous tour sponsors to keep the crowd on their toes.

This event turned out to be the ideal set-up for these REI store promotions. It is currently being looked at by REI Corporate as a template for future promotions to come.
