The ASM RV Tour rolled in Friday evening and found primetime parking at the start/finish line alongside Lake Pleasant. Athletes arrived through the night and into the morning.
It was an early morning for ASM as registration opened at 5am on Saturday. With a comp entry on the table, Team ASM (Ty and Holly) laced up their shoes for a day of adventure, to say the least. Despite navigational error (Ty was the navigator), wild burros, and a missed checkpoint, ASM finished an amazing 5th overall and 1st coed. Being Holly's first adventure race, this was quite the feat!
There were a number of athletes in this series that were new to the sport, and many were really interested in talking about the ASM Tour. A combined effort between ASM and Sierra Adventure drew a large crowd for the awards and gear giveaway. ASM (Ty) was able to play MC for a short while during the drawing.
