Settled deep in the desert of northeastern Utah, a small city was built overnight for one of the largest mountain bike events in the world.

The event officially opened early Saturday morning with the vendor expo and a race meeting. The RV parked strategically on the main drag as to catch the attention of all that breezed by on their mountain bikes throughout the day.

In honor of the 24hrs of mountain biking, ASM offered their own 24hrs of SWAG. Entries were drawn each hour from noon to noon offering riders a chance to win the latest gear from the ASM tour sponsors.

As well, ASM and its tour sponsors offered up their race comp to a 5-person coed team (Team Adventure Sports Mag). Team ASM, donned in ASM jerseys and sponsor gear, finished with a strong showing in the top 25 percent of their field.



As teams continued through the night amidst dust storms and the desert heat, ASM stayed up in support of those late niters. In the morning, Ty geared up with a backpack of magazines and sponsor goodies to make the rounds (3 times). With over 1000 campsites, there was a lot of ground to cover. With many folks new to the magazine, ASM was able to peak a bit of interest!
