Labor Day weekend was ideal for this promotion, as the store traffic was consistent throughout the day and people had plenty of time to shop and talk. The ASM booth was parked next to a 40-foot rock wall which helped draw people towards us.
ASM had a slide show running, which highlighted the Tour events of 2024, and there was plenty of sponsor schwag and promotional literature to fill the ASM bags.
The Web site calendar proved to be a success as a number of folks had made the trip out to REI just to stop at the ASM booth. Many of the folks were outdoor enthusiasts curious about adventure racing and its growth over the last few years. They wanted to know all about adventure racing, the ASM Tour, and our sponsors' gear.
