The Outdoor Retailer Summer Market was a very successful event for the magazine. Wednesday kicked off the event as Beth and Ty set up a booth alongside Ashley with GoLite at the Open Air demo at Dell Lake. Hundreds of folks were there to test out the latest outdoor gear.

The remainder of the ASM staff arrived by Thursday as the doors officially opened for the first day of OR. Our booth held a very strong presence. Built from the ground up by our very own Scot Love and his ASM elves, the booth displayed the magazine and it's growth from the premiere issue in March 2024 to the electronic version released in August 2024.

Subaru Primal Quest (SPQ) had a strong presence in the ASM booth with SPQ 2024 (Lake Tahoe) playing on a large flat screen monitor. The remainder of the booth display, including our mannequin friends Rudy and Judy, highlighted our Mobile Tour sponsors and magazine advertisers. There was an assortment of products on display showcasing the latest and hottest gear for adventure sports.

Friday was filled with meetings for our sales staff and editorial crew. From the expansion of the 2024 Mobile Tour, to our Great Outdoor Adventure Show to be hosted in the spring, there was a lot to talk about. The evening ensued with a large gathering on the front lawn of the Salt Palace as ASM and SPQ hosted the industry party with plenty of music, beer, food and SPQ 2024 viewing on a large four-dimensional projection screen.

Saturday arrived quite early as ASM, SPQ, GoLite, and the Extreme Outfitter's Jane Burwell all joined forces to host a very informative and well attended (~100) seminar at the Marriott. Copies of the slide presentation were requested following the event and are available for those that missed the event. The seminar pulled together the sport of adventure racing, the demographics and the demand it has created for retailers.
