Event Name: Silver Sage Adventure Race

Registration started Friday evening at Wingfield Park in the heart of downtown Reno. It was a great location as there were a number of people cruising through the park, taking interest in the event. The RV was parked alongside the Truckee River fully exposed to all the rafters, kayak tricksters and families on the river over the weekend. Friday evening finished with a concert in the park.

Saturday morning kicked off with race preparations. Ty reserved a spot in the event as a solo racer. Racers received their maps and were left to design their own courses in about 30 minutes.

The event went off without a hitch. There was a good mix of city running, mountain biking in the forest, and a chilly ride down the Truckee in a tube. Ty had a blast running the course with everyone and thinks the athletes really had fun seeing him out competing.

Following a respectable finish by ASM, the festivities continued with cold beer, lounging in the half deflated tubes, lots of food, and a serious schwagfest, which the ASM Tour sponsors would be proud of. Nobody went home empty handed!
