Event Name: Florida Coast to Coast

A good number of ASM staff members came out for this event including: Scot Love (President), Beth Lovin (marketing), Jeremy Love (Scot's son), Daniel Disney (Sales) and, of course, everyone's favorite event promoter, Ty Stephens.

The ASM tent was set up in the courtyard of the host hotel, and the RV was parked alongside the highway to attract viewers and lost racers. Daniel and Beth were there to man the booth so Ty could take a load off for a weekend. Instead of breaking, Ty joined Team ASM, made up of Scot Love, Ty Stephens, Eddie Griffin, and Mike Lee.

Race director, John Walker, made his pre-race announcements from the top of the ASM RV. Daniel and Ty followed up the announcements with a box full of ASM and sponsor schwag. Everyone loves free stuff!

After finally figuring out how to keep upright in very unstable kayaks, Team ASM hit the Gulf around 6:30 am and was on the move. The day consisted of very rough waters; muddy tromps through Jeep trails; Eddie tipping over on his mountain bike at every stop due to his new bike shoes unclipping; strapping the kayaks together; and riding over the top a six foot alligator at 2 am. Unfortunately, Team ASM had to pull out of the race due to a busted rutter. They then packed up and joined the RV at the finish line in Ormond Beach to cheer in the rest of the field!
