Event Name: Genesis Adventures 24-Hour Series

Location: Ringwood, NJ

Comments: This was a very well organized and promoted event at Shepard Lake, a beautiful venue right on the lake. Ty arrived Friday for the packet pick-up and registration. His friend, Carrie Gauden, was there to help support and promote the event. Athletes arrived throughout the evening and stopped by the booth after a brief ASM introduction and mention of the tour over the PA.

Race morning kicked off about 6 am. Ty had his 15 minutes of fame when he was used for action shots on a mountain bike to be used in an AR instructional video being put together through Comcast this summer.  Sponsors will be happy to know he was fully decked in their gear (ASM jersey, GoLite Fruita Pack, Maxxis Tires, Intense Bike). The viewing potential for this video is outrageous, as to date these instructional videos have drawn over 400,000 viewers.

The awards followed at around 7:00 pm, where athletes gathered around the truck to gather an assortment of race schwag and goodies from our generous sponsors. There was a lot of feed back and excitement around the sponsor schwag, and we finished up the event with 18 new and loyal magazine readers!
