Event Name: The Planet Adventure 24-Hour Challenge

Event Date: April 17-18, 2024

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Comments: The weekend started Friday afternoon in Carmel, IN at The Extreme Outfitters retail store with a lunch promo to support GoLite. About 150 people were in attendance. Ty put together goodie bags with all of the ASM sponsor promos and a few small freebies using Extreme Outfitters bags.

Then it was on to Wasatch Lake where the RV was too tall for the entrance gate, but nothing a little off-roading through the back yard could not fix. Ty set up a tent at pre-race adjacent the Extreme Outfitters’ tent, which was a perfect set-up as they are a large retailer for GoLite, one of our kind sponsors.  Race morning arrived at about 4:30 a.m. The RV and Extreme Outfitters’ truck was positioned to encompass the start and finish line. Ty spent the remainder of race day cruising the course with his digital camera; his favorite spot was the traverse over Upper Falls.

The first few finishing teams crossed the line between 3 and 4 a.m. to the sounds of Sugar Ray blasting from the RV. The onslaught of race finishers came about 8 a.m.
