Tune in to your local NBC affiliate on December 19 (3 p.m. ET) to see highlights from the inaugural Raid World Championship. Team Nike ACG/Balance Bar (U.S.) won the race on December 2 after five days, three hours and 43 minutes of racing over 395 miles through the extraordinary Patagonia region of Argentina. Finland's Nokia Adventure finished second, while Saab-Salomon of Great Britain took third. The victory capped a sensational year of racing for Team Nike ACG/Balance Bar (Michael Tobin, Ian Adamson, Danelle Ballengee, Mike Kloser), which also won the AR World Championship, Extreme Adventure Hidalgo and Subaru Primal Quest (in a tie with Team Seagate) and also placed second in the Balance Bar 24-Hour Adventure Series and runner-up at the Outdoor Quest in Malaysia.
